Donzelline With Prosciutto And Stracchino
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. Minced fresh rosemary leaves
- 1 1/2 c. Flour
- 3 Tbsp. Virgin extra virgin olive oil
- 1 x Egg
- 3 Tbsp. Lambrusco red wine
- 1 c. Oil for frying
- 8 slc Prosciutto
- 8 ounce Stracchino cheese
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, stir together rosemary, flour, extra virgin olive oil, egg and red wine till you have formed a soft dough. Knead 4 or possibly 5 min and roll out to 1/4-inch thick.
- Heat oil in 3-inch tall saucepan to 375 degrees.
- Cut dough into 3- to 4-inch triangles and fry till golden brown-brown on both sides.
- Serve hot with prosciutto and stracchino cheese and Sangiovese di Romagna, a young fruity red wine.
- This recipe yields 4 servings.
- Suggested Wine: Sangiovese di Romagna
