Date Nut Roll (Candy)
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp. flour &
- 3 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. lowfat milk
- 3/4 c. carnation lowfat milk
- 2 teaspoon Karo syrup
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 2 c. dates, minced
- 2 c. pecans or possibly walnuts, minced
Directions
- Cook to soft ball stage, 234 degrees (except dates and nuts). Add in dates and nuts; cook a little while longer, beat till creamy. Roll in 1/2 c. minced pecans, in wet cloth.
