Crockpot Chicken Noodle Soup
Ingredients
- 1 x chicken whole, no skin, R-Tablespoons-C cut up
- 2 med Carrots peeled and minced
- 1/2 c. onion peeled and minced
- 2 stalk celery coarsely minced
- 2 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp parsley
- 3/4 tsp marjoram
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 1/4 tsp Poultry seasoning
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 1 x Bay leaf
- 2 quart Water
- 2 1/2 c. egg noodles
Directions
- Place the first 4 ingredients in a 3 1/2-qt slow cooker in the order listed. Combine salt and the next 6 ingredients; sprinkle over vegetables.
- Add in 6 c. water; cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hrs. Remove chicken and bay leaf; add in remaining 2 c. water. Stir in noodles and cook, covered, on high setting for 20 min. Meanwhile remove bones from chicken and cut chicken into bite-size pcs. Add in to slow cooker, stir to mix. Cook for 15 min on high setting, covered or possibly till noodles are tender.
- Makes 3 1/4 qts.
- Serves 8 to 10.
