Creamed Chipped Beef On Toast
Ingredients
- 6 ounce. sliced, dry beef, rinsed in cool water
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 2 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- Salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp. minced parsley
- 8 slices buttered toast or possibly 4 lg. waffles
Directions
- Shred beef into small pcs. Heat butter in skillet over medium heat. Saute/fry onion till tender. Sprinkle in flour, stirring constantly, till smooth, 2 to 3 min. Gradually stir in lowfat milk and cook 5 to 8 more min, till sauce is thick. Add in beef, then pepper and salt to taste. Add in parsley and remove from heat. Serve on toast or possibly waffles. Serves 4.
