  • Coffee Liquor Dipper Wings

    Ingredients

    • 1 ounce Butter
    • 1/2 c. Onion, finely minced
    • 3/4 tsp Chile pwdr
    • 2 dsh Warm sauce
    • 1 c. Barbecue sauce
    • 2 Tbsp. Honey Salt and pepper to taste
    • 2 cl Garlic, chopped
    • 1 tsp Cumin
    • 1/2 c. Coffee liqueur
    • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tsp Salt
    • 20 x Chicken wings

    Directions

    1. In a 2 Quart. saucepan heat butter; saute/fry garlic and onion over medium heat for 3 min. Add in cumin and chili pwdr and cook, stirring constantly for 2 min. Blend in Coffee Liqueur and cook to reduce liquid by one-half. Stir in warm sauce, Worcestershire, barbeque sauce and salt.
    2. Simmer 5 min. Remove from heat and add in honey. Set aside and allow to cold.
    3. Prepare chicken wings by removing and discarding the tips. Divide the wings in half at the remaining joint. Marinate the wings in the cooked sauce for 1 hour at room temperature, or possibly overnight in the refrigerator. To cook,, place the marinated wings on a broiler pan, sprinkle with salt and pepper and broil 5 min, turn and brush with the remaining sauce and bake at 350 degrees for 15 min. Serve warm. Wings can be prepared a day ahead and can be reheated in the oven.
