Classic Spanish Rice
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. Original Minute Rice
- 1 x onion cut thin wedges
- 1 x garlic clove chopped
- 1/4 c. margarine or possibly butter - (1/2 stick)
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 can tomato sauce - (8 ounce)
- 1 sm green pepper diced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp prepared mustard (optional) Sliced stuffed green olives
Directions
- Cook and stir rice, onion and garlic in warm margarine in large skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently till mix is lightly browned. Stir in remaining ingredients except olives. Bring to full boil. Cover, remove from heat.
- Let stand 5 min. Fluff with fork. Garnish with olives. Serve with chicken or possibly your favorite main dish.
- This recipe yields 4 servings.
