This is an old family recipe that I am asked for every year and I would appreciate it everyone would write it down somewhere so I don't have to re-type it all the time.

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 tsp. baking powder
    • 1 cup water
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • Lemon juice
    • 4 large eggs
    • Nuts
    • 1 bottle Vodka
    • 2 cups dried fruit.
    • .

    Directions

    1. Sample a cup of Vodka to check quality.
    2. Take a large bowl, check the Vodka again to be sure it is of the highest quality then Repeat.
    3. Turn on the electric mixer.
    4. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
    5. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar. Beat again.
    6. At this point, it is best to make sure the Vodka is still OK. Try another cup just in case.

    9. Pick the fruit up off the floor, wash it and put it in the bowl a piece at a time trying to count it.

    11. Sample the Vodka to test for tonsisticity.
    12. Sift 2 cups of salt, or something.
    13. Check the Vodka. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.
    14. Add one table.
    15. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.
    16. Greash the oven.
    17. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.
    18. Don't forget to beat off the turner.
    19. Finally, throw the bowl through the window. Finish the Vodka and wipe the counter with the cat.

Flour looks too much like floor and after around step 10 you end up on the floor anyhow. Thankfully, in this recipe, you never even turn on the oven so the only rise you will get is from your spouse when you are found giggling on the floor. Thanks for all the hearts.

Can I use Grey Goose or Absolute?

Absolutely. My personal preference is for Woodford Reserve bourbon. It really doesn't matter because it never gets baked and all that happens is that you end up gloriously drunk. Happy holidays.

It is as real as you want it to be. The hangover is most certainly real.

Stop writing, typing and use your copy machine and copy paste and print. When I have a recipe that every one (or I think every one) wants I copy a lot of it and carry with me or put on table beside it and they can take one good luck.
