  • Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars

    Ingredients

    • crust
    • 1 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
    • 1/2 c. Butter, softened
    • 1/4 c. Firmly packed brown sugar
    • 3 x Large eggs
    • 3/4 c. Dark or possibly light corn syrup
    • 3/4 c. Granulated sugar
    • 2 Tbsp. Butter, melted
    • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
    • 1 1/2 c. Coarsely minced pecans
    • 1 pkt Nestle toll house semi-sweet Chocolate morsels (12 ounce)

    Directions

    1. CRUST: Preheat oven to 350'F. In small mixer bowl, beat flour, 1/2 c. butter and brown sugar till crumbly. Press into greased 13x9" baking pan. Bake 12-15 min till lightly browned.
    2. FILLING: In medium bowl with wire whisk, beat Large eggs, corn syrup, granulated sugar, melted butter and vanilla extract. Stir in pecans and Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels. Pour proportionately over baked crust.
    3. Bake 25-30 min till set. Cold; cut into 2x1 1/2" bars.
    4. Makes about 3 dozen bars.
