Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars
Ingredients
- crust
- 1 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. Butter, softened
- 1/4 c. Firmly packed brown sugar
- 3 x Large eggs
- 3/4 c. Dark or possibly light corn syrup
- 3/4 c. Granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Butter, melted
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 c. Coarsely minced pecans
- 1 pkt Nestle toll house semi-sweet Chocolate morsels (12 ounce)
Directions
- CRUST: Preheat oven to 350'F. In small mixer bowl, beat flour, 1/2 c. butter and brown sugar till crumbly. Press into greased 13x9" baking pan. Bake 12-15 min till lightly browned.
- FILLING: In medium bowl with wire whisk, beat Large eggs, corn syrup, granulated sugar, melted butter and vanilla extract. Stir in pecans and Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels. Pour proportionately over baked crust.
- Bake 25-30 min till set. Cold; cut into 2x1 1/2" bars.
- Makes about 3 dozen bars.
