    Ingredients

    • 1 3/4 cups crushed chocolate chip cookies or chocolate wafers crumbs (can be done with either)
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 1/3 cup butter, melted
    • Filling
    • 3 packages (8oz each) cream cheese, softened
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 3 eggs lightly beaten
    • 1 cup (8oz) sour cream
    • Cookie dough
    • 1/4 cup butter beaten
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1 tbsp water
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 1/2 cups miniature semisweet chocolate chips, divided

    Directions

    1. In a small bowl combine cookie crumbs and sugar, stir in butter
    2. Press onto the bottom and 1 inch of the sides, place on a baking sheet
    3. Using a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth, add eggs beat on low just until blended
    4. add sour cream and vanilla, beat until blended
    5. Pour over crust set aside
    6. In another mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy
    7. add water and vanilla
    8. Slowly add flour
    9. Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips
    10. drop dough by spoon fulls over filling
    11. gently pushing dough below surface (dough should be completely covered by filling)
    12. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes or until center is almost done
    13. cool on wire rack for 10 minutes
    14. run knife around edges to loosen cool 1 hour
    15. refrigerate over night
    16. Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips before serving
    17. refrigerate left overs
