chicken pot pie
Ingredients
- crust wet ingredients:
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 egg
- crust dry ingredients:
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp thyme
- Filling:
- 2 cups cooked chicken (2 chicken breasts)
- 1/2 cup sliced carrots
- small can mushrooms
- 2 diced potatoes
- small can corn
Directions
- Crust:
- cream wet ingredients together
- combine dry ingredients together
- mix both inside casserole dish and spread crust over the bottom and up the sides
- saute vegetables in margarine or olive oil
- cook chicken in olive oil
- combine veg and chicken and add 1 can of cream of chicken soup (2 if needed)
- Place in pie crust
- top with grated cheddar cheese
- Bake 400 for 30 minutes
