Cherry Divine Coffee Cake Southern Living
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. Butter, softened
- 1 c. Sugar
- 1 lrg Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 2 c. All-purpose flour
- 2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 c. Lowfat milk
- 1 can Cherry pie filling, (21-ounce) Crumb topping (see recipe)
Directions
- NOTE: Use real butter to make a delightful difference in this easy coffee cake.
- Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer till creamy; gradually add in sugar, beating well. Add in egg and vanilla, beating till blended.
- Combine flour, baking pwdr, and salt; add in to butter mix alternately with lowfat milk, beginning and ending with flour mix. Beat at low speed till blended after each addition. Pour batter into a greased and floured 13- x 9-inch pan. Spoon cherry pie filling over top; sprinkle with Crumb Topping.
- Bake at 350 for 50 to 60 min or possibly till golden. Serve hot.
- Yield: 15 servings.
