  • Cherry Divine Coffee Cake Southern Living

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 c. Butter, softened
    • 1 c. Sugar
    • 1 lrg Egg
    • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
    • 2 c. All-purpose flour
    • 2 tsp Baking pwdr
    • 1/2 tsp Salt
    • 1 c. Lowfat milk
    • 1 can Cherry pie filling, (21-ounce) Crumb topping (see recipe)

    Directions

    1. NOTE: Use real butter to make a delightful difference in this easy coffee cake.
    2. Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer till creamy; gradually add in sugar, beating well. Add in egg and vanilla, beating till blended.
    3. Combine flour, baking pwdr, and salt; add in to butter mix alternately with lowfat milk, beginning and ending with flour mix. Beat at low speed till blended after each addition. Pour batter into a greased and floured 13- x 9-inch pan. Spoon cherry pie filling over top; sprinkle with Crumb Topping.
    4. Bake at 350 for 50 to 60 min or possibly till golden. Serve hot.
    5. Yield: 15 servings.
