  • Caramel Chocolate Pecan Bars

    Ingredients

    • 2 c. all-purpose flour
    • 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 c. Land O'Lakes sweet cream butter, softened
    • 1 c. pecan halves
    • 2/3 c. Land O'Lakes sweet cream butter
    • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    • 1/2 c. butterscotch chips
    • 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

    Directions

    1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixer bowl put together all crust ingredients. Beat on low speed, scraping bowl often, till particles are fine (1-2 min). Press onto bottom of 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Sprinkle pecans over crust.In 1 qt saucepan put together butter and brown sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, till mix comes to a full boil (4-5 min). Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly; pour over pecans. Bake for 18-20 min or possibly till filling is bubbly. Immediately sprinkle with butterscotch and chocolate chips. Allow to heat slightly (3-5 min). Slightly swirl chips as they heat; leave some whole for marbled effect. Cool completely. Yield 3 dozen.
