A quick, easy way to make omelets without the hassle and mess. Great for large groups as you can cook several at once. Perfect for a quick & easy, 1-pot breakfast with virtually no-cleanup when camping. Bonus - easily let everyone choose their own "stuffing." Note: There are some concerns about possible BPA leaching from the plastic into food if you cook in it. Please do your own research. Personally, I don't feel that doing this once in a while is harmful, and the benefit

    Ingredients

    • 8 Eggs
    • Stuffing of choice: diced onions, chopped peppers, crumbled sausage or bacon, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sliced mushrooms, etc.
    • salt & pepper to taste
    • 4 heavy duty quart-size ziplock bags
    • 1 permanent marker
    • 1 large pan of water
    • heat source

    Directions

    1. Label each bag with the person's name.
    2. Crack two eggs into each bag.
    3. Let each person choose their stuffing.
    4. Squeeze out extra air & seal each bag.
    5. Bring large pan of water to a boil.
    6. Drop bags into boiling water & boil for 13 minutes.
    7. Carefully cut each bag open & roll omelet out onto plate.
    8. *** You can make larger omelets using 3 eggs; simply increase cooking time to 15 minutes. ***
