    Ingredients

    • 4 1/2 x Cupas all-purpose flour (up to 5)
    • 2 pkt Red Star Instant Blend Dry Yeast
    • 2 Tbsp. Sugar
    • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
    • 1 c. Lowfat milk
    • 1/2 c. Water
    • 1/4 c. Margarine
    • 1 x Egg

    Directions

    1. Oven 400 degrees makes 12 burger buns
    2. In large mixer bowl, combine 1 3/4 c. flour, yeast, sugar and salt, mix well. In saucepan, heat lowfat milk, water and margarine till hot (120-130 degrees; margarine does not need to heat). Add in to flour mix. Add in egg.
    3. Blend at low speed till moistened; beat 3 min at medium speed. By hand, gradually stir in sufficient remaining flour to make a hard dough. Knead on floured surface till smooth and elastic, 5 to 8 min. Cover with plastic wrap, then a towel; let rest 20 min.
    4. Divide dough into 2 parts. Divide each half into 6 pcs. Shape each piece into a smooth ball. Place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten to 4-inch diameter. Cover; let rise in hot place till double, about 20 min.
    5. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 min till golden. Remove from cookie sheets; cold, and slice for hamburgers.
