Black Forest Pie
Ingredients
- 1 x (15 oz) pkg. Pillsbury all ready pie crusts.
- 1 tsp Flour
- 3/4 tsp Sugar
- 1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
- 2 x tbles. Flour
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/3 c. lowfat milk
- 2 x Large eggs, beaten
- 1 x (21 oz) can of "thank you" brand cherry pie filling
- 1 x (9 oz) container cold whip
- 1 x (1 oz) square unsweetened chocolate, coarsely grated
Directions
- Prepare pie crust according to pkg. directions for filled 1-crust)
- pie, using 1 teaspoon Flour. Heat oven 350 degrees
- In sauce pan, combine sugar, cocoa and 2 tbles flour. Add in margarine and lowfat milk. Cook till mix begins to boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add in small amount of warm mix to Large eggs; return mix to pan. Fold half can of pie filling into mix. Pour into crust lined pan. Bake at 350 for 34 - 45 min or possibly till center is set but still shiny. Cold.
- Refrigerateon hour.
- Combine 2 c. topping and grated chocolate. Spread over cooled pie. Top with remaining pie filling and topping. Refrigerate1/2 hour. 8 - 10 servings.
