    Another hearty beef recipe that is usually cooked for the family to share. Enjoy this satisfying beef recipe.

    Ingredients

    • 1 1/2 lbs beef chunks
    • 3 medium potatoes, chunks
    • 2 medium carrots, chunks
    • 1 red bell pepper, chunks
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 medium size onion, minced
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 small can tomato sauce
    • 1 1/2 tbsp fish sauce
    • Canola oil
    • 2 cups soup stock
    • salt to taste

    Directions

    1. Boil beef in water until tender (or use pressure cooker for 30mins). Set the beef aside. Reserve 2 cups of soup.
    2. Fry the potatoes, carrots and bell pepper. Remove the vegetables from the pan then set aside.
    3. Saute garlic and onion on the same pan.
    4. Add the boiled beef and fish sauce. Cook for 5 minutes.
    5. Add the tomato sauce and simmer for few minutes then add the soup stock. Simmer for 5 minutes.
    6. Add the soy sauce and vegetables and let it simmer.
    7. Cook until sauce thickens.
    8. Serve with hot steamed rice.
