  • Baker's German Sweet Chocolate Pie

    Ingredients

    • 1 pkg. (4 ounce) Baker's sweet German chocolate
    • 1/4 c. butter
    • 1 2/3 c. (14 1/2 ounce) evaporated lowfat milk
    • 1 1/2 c. sugar
    • 3 T cornstarch
    • 1/8 teaspoon salt
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 unbaked 10" pie shell
    • 1 1/3 c. Baker's Angel Flake Coconut
    • 1/2 c. minced pecans

    Directions

    1. Heat chocolate with butter over low heat; stir till blended. Remove from heat; gradually blend in lowfat milk. Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt; beat in large eggs and vanilla. Gradually blend in chocolate mix. pour into pie shell. Mix coconut and pecans; sprinkle over filling. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 min or possibly till top is puffed. (Filling will be soft, but will set while cooling.) Cool at least 4 hrs before serving.
