  • Baked Donuts

    Ingredients

    • 6 tbsp butter, at room temperature
    • 1/2 c. sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    • 1 1/2 c. flour
    • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
    2. Butter donut shaped baking pans generously and dust lightly with flour, tapping out any excess.
    3. Add in flour mix to butter mix, 1/2 cup at a time, alternating with 1/2 cup lowfat milk.
    4. Fill prepared baking pans 2/3 full.
    5. Bake for about 1/2 hour at 350°F or possibly till donuts are done.
    6. Remove immediately from pans, roll in melted butter, then in 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon.
    7. Makes 1 dozen.
