Baked Cranberry Orange Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 pkt fresh cranberries - (12 ounce) (or possibly thawed frzn)
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. orange-flavor liqueur (or possibly orange juice)
- 1 tsp grated orange peel
Directions
- Sort cranberries, discarding any bruised or possibly decayed fruit. Rinse and drain berries.
- In an 8- or possibly 9-inch square baking dish, mix cranberries, sugar, orange-flavor liqueur (or possibly orange juice), and grated orange peel.
- Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree regular or possibly convection oven, stirring occasionally, till berries are tender when pierced and juices are syrupy, about 1 hour. Serve hot or possibly cold.
- This recipe yields about 2 c.; 8 to 12 servings.
- Comments: Serve this cranberry sauce as a relish with the turkey or possibly use it on the "Cranberry Crown Cheesecake" (see recipe).
