  • Baked Cranberry Orange Sauce

    Ingredients

    • 1 pkt fresh cranberries - (12 ounce) (or possibly thawed frzn)
    • 1 1/4 c. sugar
    • 1/2 c. orange-flavor liqueur (or possibly orange juice)
    • 1 tsp grated orange peel

    Directions

    1. Sort cranberries, discarding any bruised or possibly decayed fruit. Rinse and drain berries.
    2. In an 8- or possibly 9-inch square baking dish, mix cranberries, sugar, orange-flavor liqueur (or possibly orange juice), and grated orange peel.
    3. Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree regular or possibly convection oven, stirring occasionally, till berries are tender when pierced and juices are syrupy, about 1 hour. Serve hot or possibly cold.
    4. This recipe yields about 2 c.; 8 to 12 servings.
    5. Comments: Serve this cranberry sauce as a relish with the turkey or possibly use it on the "Cranberry Crown Cheesecake" (see recipe).
