    Baked Camembert in puff pastry

    Ingredients

    • 2 puff pastry sheets
    • 1 small camembert (or brie)
    • 1 egg
    • ¼ cup milk
    • hamburger relish (or any other relish or chutney)

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 180°C fan forced (200°C normal).
    2. Cut a round in each pastry sheet, slightly larger than the cheese.
    3. Then beat the egg with the milk.
    4. Place the cheese in the centre of a pastry round, spread a decent amount of the relish on top and paint the pastry edges with egg wash.
    5. Then place the other pastry sheet on top, press down and crimp the edges with your fingers.
    6. Place the ‘pie’ on a baking tray, brush all over with egg wash and cook in the oven for about 12 mins until the pastry is golden and risen.
    7. Serve with a green salad on the side for a light lunch, or with good crusty bread as a snack or starter.
