  • Bacon Onion Chip Dip C/P

    Ingredients

    • 6 slc bacon finely minced
    • 8 ounce light cream cheese softened
    • 1 c. light lowfat sour cream
    • 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese aged
    • 2 x green onions finely minced potato chips or possibly crackers

    Directions

    1. In a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, cook bacon 7-8 minutes or possibly till crisp. Drain on paper towels.
    2. In a bowl combine cream cheese, cooked bacon, lowfat sour cream, cheddar cheese and green onions. Mix well and transfer to lightly greased crockpot
    3. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour or possibly till cheese is melted. Don't stir. Reduce heat to low till ready to serve.
    4. Transfer to a bowl and serve with plain potato chips or possibly as a spread on crackers. Will keep well in fridge for several days.
    5. NOTES : Can be mixed up to 24 hrs in advance and refrigerated. Spoon into prepard crockpot and heat as directed.
    6. To reheat leftovers, nuke on medium 2-3 minutes. Stir before serving.
    7. Yield: 3 c.
