Asparagus With Mustard Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 lb Trimmed asparagus
- 2 Tbsp. Margarine
- 3 x Flour
- 1 c. Chicken broth
- 1 c. Skim lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Fresh lemon juice
- 1 dsh Wht pepper
Directions
- Heat margarine in med. saucepan. Stir in flour, cook 1 minutes. Add in broth and lowfat milk, stirring constantly w/ whisk. Bring to boil, lower heat and simmer for 5 mins. Remove from heat and whisk in mustard, lemon juice and white pepper. Keep hot while cooking asparagus- do not boil.
