Asian Flank Steak Salad Over Cold Noodles
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. Chili oil
- 1 Tbsp. Sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp. Rice wine vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp. Chopped ginger
- 2 Tbsp. Minced green onions
- 1 Tbsp. Fermented black beans
- 1/4 c. Soy sauce
- 3 lb Flank steak
- 3 c. Cooked angel hair pasta, al dente
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 1 tsp Toasted sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp. Soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Minced green onions
- 1/4 tsp Crushed red pepper
- 2 Tbsp. Grated carrots
Directions
- In a small bowl combine the marinade ingredients. Mix well. Place the flank steak in a large plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the meat. Squeeze out the excess air and seal. Chill for 24 hrs.
- Preheat grill or possibly broiler. Remove the flank steak from the marinade. Grill or possibly broil on both sides for 6 min. Remove and allow to cold for 30 min. Chill for 2 hrs till cool.
- Meanwhile, make the noodle salad. In a bowl toss together the pasta, sesame oil, sesame seeds, soy, green onions, crushed red pepper and carrots. Taste and adjust the seasonings. Place in the middle of a large plate. Slice the flank steak and position the slices around the plate or possibly toss it all together.
- This recipe yields 6 servings.
