This is an easy dessert and a great combination of flavors. The butter, brown sugar and rolled oats make a great crunchy top!

    Ingredients

    • 5 apples - peeled, cored, and sliced (granny smith ideal)
    • 3/4 cup maple syrup
    • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup rolled oats
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1 pinch salt
    • 1/4 cup butter, softened

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees Cel.).
    2. Place apples in an 8x8 inch baking dish. Toss apples in syrup. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, oats, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle mixture over apples.
    3. Bake in the oven for 35 minutes, until topping is golden brown. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

This is a great Apple Crisp that's super easy to make. A great return on investment! Just pop it in the oven when you sit down to eat and you'll have a nice warm dessert waiting for you when you finish dinner!

I really liked it, both in Nancy's and my wife's implementation. Really easy and tasty crisp. It's important to let it cool a little, so it can easily be eaten with ice cream.
