  • Apple Cranberry Crisp (Ada)

    Ingredients

    • 7 x apples such as Granny Smiths cored and sliced
    • 1 c. cranberries whole or possibly minced
    • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1 tsp nutmeg
    • 1/4 c. whole-wheat flour
    • 1/2 c. rolled oats
    • 2 Tbsp. sunflower oil or possibly more if needed or possibly substitute canola oil
    • 2 Tbsp. honey or possibly more if needed
    • 1 tsp vanilla

    Directions

    1. The perfect dessert to go along with the standard apple pie. This can even be eaten for breakfast.... talk about leftovers!
    2. 1. Lay all apple slices and cranberries into an 8-inch x 8-inch baking dish.
    3. 2. Combine lemon joie and spices in a small bowl; pour over apple slices and cranberries
    4. 3. Combine flour, oats, oil honey and vanilla.
    5. 4. Mix till mix resembles granola.
    6. 5. Sprinkle over apples and cranberries and bake at 325 degrees for 20 min.
    7. 6. Broil 2 min, till top is slightly browned, if you like.
    8. Variations:*Omit the cranberries if desired, and just have apple crisp.
    9. *You can also substitute peaches or possibly pears!
