Aloo Dam
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 1 x bay leaf
- 1 x onion
- 1/2 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp garlic
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1 1/2 tsp chile pwdr
- 2/3 tsp yogurt
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp coriander pwdr
- 1 lb potatoes
- 1 x tomato
- 1 x pepper
Directions
- 1. Heat oil, add in bay leaf and onion. Fry for 3-4 min. Add in ginger and garlic and fry for another minute. Add in mustard and cumin seeds.
- 2 The potatoes should be sliced, and the tomatoes and pepper cut up. Add in these, mix well, and cook for 4-5 min, continuously stirring.
- 3. Sprinkle with turmeric, coriander and chile pwdr.
- 4. Beat the yogurt and blend into a smooth mix. Add in yogurt and salt.
- 5. Mix gently, cover and cook for about 10 min on low heat.
