Almond Oatmeal Cutouts

- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 1/4 cups old-fashioned oats
Directions
- In a large bowl, cream the butter, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy
- Beat in the extract
- Combine the flour and the oats
- Gradually add to the creamed mixture
- Mix well
- Roll out between waxed paper to 1/4 inch thickness
- Cut with a floured 2 1/2 inch cookie cutter
- Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased baking sheets
- Bake at 350 F for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned
- Remove to wire racks to cool
