Ahi Tuna Appetizer
Great and Simple Ahi Tuna Appetizer. Great for Parties. Ingredients
- 1 Medalion Tuna (About 4 oz)
- 4-5 X-Large (26-30 per bag) precooked shrimp (Optional)
- 3 Tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sriracha
- 3 Avocados
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 medium tomato
- 1/4 cup Onion
- On the Border Cantina Style Tortilla Chips, or your favorite chips
Directions
- Thaw Tuna Medallion. You can put this in water to thaw if it is shrink-wrapped in plastic
- Thaw Shrimp. You can thaw this in water
- Dice Tuna and Shrimp in small 1/4 to 1/2 inch pieces
- combine Soy, Oil, and Siracha in a bowl and blend to create a marinade
- Put tuna and shrimp in marinade and mix. Let marinate at least 30 minutes, remixing every 10-15 minutes for optimal coverage
- Just before you are ready to serve, make Guacamole with Avocados, Tomatoes, Onion, salt, and pepper.
- oil a small round cake pan about 6" with sesame oil. Optionally you can use a few small souffle dishes (2-3" inch round) to make individual appetizers
- Place the tuna mixture in the bottom of the pan(s), taking care to get as little excess marinade as possible in the pan(s).
- Place guacamole on top of the tuna in the pan(s)
- Optionally Chill
- Invert cake pan onto a plate
- Eat with Tortilla chips.
