  • Abilene Coffee Cake

    Ingredients

    • 2 c. Granulated Sugar
    • 1 c. Butter
    • 2 x Large eggs
    • 1 c. Lowfat sour cream
    • 1 tsp Vanilla
    • 2 c. Flour
    • 1 tsp Baking Pwdr
    • 1 tsp Baking Soda
    • 1/2 tsp Salt
    • 1/4 c. Brown Sugar
    • 1 c. Walnuts, minced
    • 1 tsp grnd Cinnamon
    • Grease and flour a bundt or possibly other tubular baking pan. Preheat oven to 350-F
    • degrees.

    Directions

    1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the sugar, butter, and Large eggs. Stir in lowfat sour cream and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking pwdr, soda, and salt. Mix together the brown sugar, nuts, and cinnamon.
    2. Sprinkle a little of the nut mix in the bottom of the bundt pan. Pour in about a third of the batter, then add in about half the remaining nut mix, half the remaining batter, the rest of the nuts, and the rest of the batter. Bake at 350-F degrees for 50 min, or possibly till it tests done.
