About me

I love to cook and bake - being in the kitchen is fun for me...and fattening! But I try to take time out for other things, like reading (cookbooks) or going out (to restaurants) with friends, or spending time with my family (in the kitchen, cooking for them!) I also love to sew and quilt and make things (edible things). So you see, I'm really quite a well-rounded person! Pun intended!

Cooking Influences

I'm greatly influenced by the seasons and holidays...if it is Spring then I'm going to make fresh pea soup or strawberry cheesecake...if it's Winter then chowders, soups and stews will be in the menu! I'm also influenced by dining out - if I've had something great to eat then I'll want to try to recreate it at home.
