Cooking Influences

It all started with my Great Aunties and their ability to re-connect the family through their food rituals. And a few well placed food fights with my siblings added to the joy as well.

European Apprenticeship with a German Master Chef on the East Coast, trained in French Technique taught me leadership and technique. Externship in Giaole, Italy in the Tuscany region near Siena taught me to "relax and let the food speak to you."

At some point along the way ~ after europe, the apprenticeships, formal school training, and just cooking for a really long time - my skills just meshed and here I am - happy and still playing with my food. ;)
