About me

I love to cook! My fondest memories as a child are of cooking with my mom. Everything had its start in the kitchen...conversations, arguments, laughing, crying, and EATING!!

I owe my love of cooking to my mom. Thanks, mom!

Now that I have children of my own, I try to make time spent in the kitchen full of memories for my own boys. I have two teen-aged boys, Austin and Ethan, and a "bonus baby"--Tristan--who will be 3 in December. My husband, Dave, is a partner in an organic winery in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, where we live. When I had Tristan, I became somewhat homebound...so I poured myself into cooking. Exploring variations on themes of cooking styles--and enjoying a glass of wine while doing so--has become a wonderful way to stay close to home, yet still find an outlet for my creative side.

So...here's to many more days of good food, good wine, and GREAT memories with the people we love!
