About me

I live and work in the Chicago area. With the exception of a two-year adventure in northern California, I've been in Chicago since 1975. I'm a beginner level cook and my recipe preferences are those that require little skill and a small number of ingredients. I'm teaching myself to cook with the baby steps of trying new techniques (something as 'easy' as broiling seafood) and new ingredients (using more fresh herbs) I'm hoping to get some easy to medium-skill-required recipes to try as I expand my cooking skills.

    Wow, Carol! Thanks for sharing all the recipes and the endearing profile! I'm in the same boat...try to eat healthy most of the time but still have 2-3 meals a week where I endulge in what I think tastes best! I also completely agree on Chicago. It has the best mix of ethnic cuisines in the country after NYC. Can't wait to try some of your contributions.
