    Ingredients

    • Ingredients:
    • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
    • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
    • 1/2 cup sour cream
    • 1 cup sifted cake flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 4 large eggs
    • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 & 1/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
    • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips

    Directions

    2. 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line the cups of a muffin tin with paper liners. (Yield: 12 to 16)
    3. 2. Melt the chopped semisweet chocolate with the butter in the top of a double boiler, stirring until smooth. Remove from the heat and stir in the cour cream. Cool.
    4. 3. Whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. Beat eggs and sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer until light and pale, about 5 minutes. Beat in chocolate mixture and vanilla. Add flour mixture and 1 cup of semisweet chips.
    5. 4. Spoon the batter evenly into prepared muffin cups to fill about 3/4 full. Top evenly with remaining semisweet chips and white chocolate chips. Bake until the centers are set to the touch, 16 to 20 minutes.
    6. 5. Set muffin tin on a wire rack to cool 15 minutes.
