whole Wheat Flax Blueberry Scones
Why Yes I am a dork. Thank you. I spend alot of time trying to make recipes that are Healthy but taste good and not like cardboard. This does not have any white flour in it. Ingredients
- 2 1/2 Cups Brown Flour
- 3/4 Cup Cold Butter - Cut into Cubes
- 1 Cup Milk
- 1 1/2 Cups Dried Berries or fresh
- 1 1/2 TBSP Baking Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Golden Flax or normal flax
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Combine Milk and Dried berries, Set aside.
- In a bowl, cut the cold butter into the flour til it resembles pea size chunks.
- lightly stir in the flax, baking powder and salt.
- Add your milk soaked berries.
- Mix. It will form into a very soft dough.
- Turn out onto a clean floured surface.
- Pat until 1 1/2 inches thick. get a knife and cut into triangles or any shape you want.
- Bake for 22 Minutes.
