Wendy's Egg Drop Soup
Ingredients
- 6 c. homemade or possibly 1 (46 ounce.) can chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sherry
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
- Water
- 2 lg. Large eggs
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
Directions
- In medium saucepan, bring broth to boiling. Reduce heat; stir in salt, pepper, sugar, soy sauce and sherry.
- In a small bowl, combine cornstarch with 3 Tbsp. water till blended. Add in broth mix, and cook, stirring, 2 min.
- In another small bowl, beat Large eggs with 1 Tbsp. water; pour slowly into broth mix, stirring constantly, till Large eggs separate into shreds. Remove from heat; garnish with green onions. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
