walnut cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oat
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. (180°C)
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter with both sugars. Add eggs one at a time, beating each one into the mixture.
- In a separate bowl mix the dry ingredients together. Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk. You should be able to start and finish with the dry ingredients.
- 4 Add chocolate chips to the batter.
- 5 Put heapings on your cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes if you can.
