Venison Jerky
Great way to use up less desirable cuts from your deer. Ingredients
- 3 pound venison
- 2/3 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 c. soy sauce
- 1/2 c. Worcestershire
- 2 teaspoon hickory smoke salt or seasoned salt
- 2 teaspoon Accent
Directions
- Slice venison into 3/4 inch strips.
- Mix together remaining ingredients a large bowl.
- Marinate overnight.
- Cook directly on rack 6-8 hrs at 150 degrees. Check at around 4-5 hrs.
- Do not let cook too long and get crisp, it should be chewy.
