  • Turkey Or Chicken A La King

    Ingredients

    • 1 1/2 - 2 c. cooked turkey or possibly chicken, cubed
    • 1 medium onion, minced
    • 2 carrots, minced
    • 2 stalks celery, minced
    • 1 c. frzn peas
    • 1 sm. jar pimentos, liquid removed
    • 1 1/2 - 2 c. lowfat milk
    • 2 tbsp. flour
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Directions

    1. In a large pot, heat 2 Tbsp. oil. Saute/fry onions, carrots, and celery till the onions are tender. Add in 1/2 c. water and simmer till the carrots are tender. Mix flour with a small amount of lowfat milk and add in to the pot. Add in about 1 c. of lowfat milk and all other ingredients. Heat till thickened. Add in sufficient lowfat milk to reach desired consistency. Serve over noodles or possibly toast.
