Toasted Mozzarella Cheese & Herb Bread Slices
Great to soak up the pasta (Tomato) juices with. Wonderful mozzarella and herbs. Ingredients
- 20 ounce loaf Italian Bread (Cut off ends-2") slice thick
- 1/2 stick sweet cream butter
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
- Fresh Chopped Flat Leaf Parsley
- 3/4 cup grated Mozzarella Cheese
Directions
- Set Oven on Broil (second position)
- Using non stick rimmed baking sheet pan(s) add bread slices
- In a mixing bowl add softened butter, onion and garlic powders, fresh chopped parsley (divided use), stir with a sturdy spatula until creamy consistency, spread on each slice of bread
- Add grated mozzarella cheese to the top of each coated slice of bread, place on baking sheet pan and pop under the broiler (keep an eye on the bread-Do not burn it) Lightly toast until cheese has melted
- Remove from oven, garnish lightly with parsley
- Serve and enjoy!
