this recipe is from my wonderful sister-in-law, Margaret Ann Lofton. Delicious and moist!
- 1 turkey
- 1 cup whiskey
- 1 cup molasses
- Vegetable oil
- Rub turkey with vegetable oil and put into a large/deep pot.
- Cover turkey with water
- Add 1 cup whiskey & 1 cup molasses
- Soak in refrigerator for 3 days
- Remove turkey from soaking ingredients to a large turkey baking
- Bake uncovered according to directions per pound on the turkey
- wrapping & at temp suggested.
