I came up with this version because my family's stomach can't handle those cream of anything soups mixed into any meal except chicken pot pie.

    Ingredients

    • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 tbsp. garlic powder divided
    • 2 tbsp. onion powder divided
    • 1 medium size onion diced
    • 1 pound hamburger meat
    • 1 Pkg shredded cheese (your favorite)
    • 2 tbsp. Cajun season divided (I use Tony’s)
    • 1 Pkg tator tots thawed
    • 2 tbsp. canola or olive oil
    • 3 tbsp. butter

    Directions

    1. In a bowl combine hamburger meat (thawed), Worcestershire sauce, 1 tbsp. garlic powder, 1 tbsp. onion powder, 1 tbsp. Cajun seasoning.
    2. In a skillet over medium heat brown hamburger mixture.
    3. While that is cooking, in a large bowl mash tator tots into little bits then add 1 tbsp. Cajun seasoning, 1 tbsp. onion powder, 1 tbsp. garlic powder and the diced onion then mix
    4. Heat another skillet on medium heat with 2 tbsp. canola or olive oil and 3 tbsp. butter then add the tator tot mixture and let them cook until browned to a medium golden brown stirring occasionally.
    5. When hamburger is thoroughly browned put into a bowl and chop until in little bitty bits
    6. Then add to tator tot skillet and mix them together
    7. Top with shredded cheese, allow cheese to melt
    8. Serve hot
