Sweet Eight Treasure Tofu Dessert (Chu)
Ingredients
- 1 c. cool water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 12 x canned lotus seeds
- 6 x dry red dates diced
- 3 x preserved green plums diced
- 2 x candied kumquats diced
- 2 slc dry papaya diced
- 2 Tbsp. raisins
- 1 lb Silken Tofu Dessert liquid removed
- Minced toasted walnuts and
- mint sprigs for garnish
Directions
- 1. Combine water and sugar in a saucepan; cook till sugar dissolves.
- Reduce heat to low and add in candied fruits; simmer for 10 min or possibly till syrup thickens.
- 2. Scoop tofu dessert into a shallow serving bowl. Arrange candied fruits over tofu dessert. Spoon syrup over all. Garnish with minced toasted walnuts and mint sprigs.
