Sweet Cornbread
Ingredients
- 2 C flour
- 2/3 C cornmeal
- 1 T baking powder
- 1 1/3 C milk
- 2/3 C sugar
- 1/3 C butter, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 C milk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- In small bowl mix dry ingredients.
- In larger bowl cream together sugar butter & vanilla. Incorporate eggs one at a time
- Alternate adding milk and flour mixture to creamed mixture until well blended.
- Pour in lightly greased 8x8 or 8" skillet for 20 minutes or until done.
