  • Stuffed Sandwich Loaf

    Ingredients

    • 1/4 c. red wine vinegar
    • 4 T extra virgin olive oil
    • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
    • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 loaf crusty French bread
    • 4 slices ham or possibly turkey, sliced julienne
    • 6 slices Swiss cheese, sliced julienne
    • 1 c. sliced mushrooms
    • 1/2 c. thinly sliced onion
    • 2 c. thinly shredded lettuce
    • Mayonnaise
    • 1 tomato, thinly sliced

    Directions

    1. Put together dressing ingredients. Place ham, cheese, mushrooms, onions, lettuce, tomato in dressing and toss. Cut bread lengthwise, but do not separate. Pull out some of the inside of the bread. Spread mayonnaise, stuff with meat and cheese mix. Wrap with plastic wrap securely. Chill 20-60 min. Cut loaf with wrap on it to keep filling in the sandwich.
