Stuffed Manicotti With Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients
- 1/2 (8 ounce) pkg. manicotti shells
- 2 c. ricotta or possibly cream style cottage cheese
- 1 (8 ounce) pkg. diced Mozzarella
- 1 lg. egg
- 2 T parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 jar spaghetti sauce with mushrooms
- 1 T instant chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Directions
- Cook shells till tender. Pour off cooking water; add in cold water to cover. Put together cheeses, egg, parsley and salt in bowl. Remove shells from water one at a time. Drain well. Fill with cheese mix. Brown grnd beef break up in small pcs. Put together sauce, onion, garlic salt and sugar; mix with meat. Spoon 1/2 the sauce into 13 x 9 x 2 inch dish. Arrange filled manicotti in single layer. Top with rest of sauce. Cover with foil. Bake 30 min in 350 degree oven. Let stand 10 min before serving.
