Strawberry Wine Sorbet
Ingredients
- 4 c. Strawberries Coarsely Minced
- 1 c. Dry White Wine
- 3/4 c. Basic Sugar Syrup
- 1/2 c. Honey
- 1/4 c. Lemon Juice
- 2 c. Sugar
- 2 c. Water
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 4 min. Remove from heat, and cold. Pour cooled mix into an 8 inch square baking dish; cover and freeze for a least 8 hrs or possibly till hard. Remove mix from freezer; break into chunks. Position knife blade in food processor bowl; add in frzn chunks, and process till smooth. Serve immediately, or possibly spoon mix into a container; cover and freeze for up to 1 month.
- Basic Sugar Syrup:Combine sugar and water in a large saucepan and stir well. Bring sugar mix to a boil and cook 1 minute or possibly till the sugar dissolves, stirring constantly.
