  • Stir Fry Beef And Spaghetti

    Ingredients

    • 8 ounce Spaghetti, Fusilli or possibly Linguine, uncooked
    • 4 Tbsp. Cornstarch, divided
    • 1/3 c. Plus 1 tbsp. soy sauce
    • 1 Tbsp. Dry sherry (optional)
    • 1 x Clove garlic, chopped
    • 1/2 tsp Grnd ginger
    • 1/4 tsp Pepper
    • 12 ounce Boneless beef round steak, in thin strips
    • 2 c. Cool water
    • 2 1/2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil, divided
    • 2 med Carrots, thinly sliced, (1 c.)
    • 1 lrg Onion, cut into chunks, (2 c.)
    • 1 x 10 ounce packag frzn cut green beans, thawed and liquid removed
    •     Toasted sesame seeds, (optional)

    Directions

    1. In a small bowl, blend 1 Tbsp. each of the cornstarch and soy sauce, sherry, garlic, ginger and pepper. Add in beef; marinate at room temperature for 30 min. In a small bowl, blend remaining 3 Tbsp. cornstarch into water. Stir in remaining 1/3 c. soy sauce.
    2. Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain. Add in 1 tsp. oil to pasta, toss to coat. In a medium skillet, heat 1 Tbsp. oil. Add in meat mix and stir-fry for 1 minute. Remove meat mix from heat. In the same skillet, heat remaining 1 Tbsp. oil. Add in carrots and onion and stir-fry till tender-crisp. Stir in meat, cornstarch mix and green beans. Cook, stirring constantly, till mix is thickened and translucent/soft. Arrange warm pasta on hot serving platter, and top with meat mix. Garnish with sesame seeds, if you like.
