Spicy (no bean) Chili
Many family members love this chili and I make it for them to take home. They are not fans of beans (kidney) but love the chili flavor, thickness and spiciness. Ingredients
- one pound (16 ounces) Sirloin Ground Beef
- one onion, diced
- one bell pepper, diced finely
- one Jalapeno Pepper, diced
- 2-1/4 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne peppers flakes
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- one tablespoon garlic salt
- one teaspoon black pepper
- one roasted red pepper (from a jar) diced finely
- 22 ounce plain tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup beef broth or stock (low sodium)
- garnish with shredded cheese, if desired
Directions
- Saute onions, diced bell pepper, jalapeno pepper diced, and ground beef, remove any oils, transfer to a stock pot with a lid, add tomato sauce, and then add all other ingredients, cook on low heat one hour.
- Serve and enjoy!
