Spelt Buttermilk Biscuits
My go-to biscuit recipe. Great with dinner or turn them into a breakfast sandwich. Ingredients
- 2 cups white spelt flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp cream of tartar
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup butter
- ¾ cup buttermilk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450.
- Stir dry ingredients and cut in butter until mixture resembles course crumbs.
- Add buttermilk all at once and mix until dough clings together.
- On a floured surface, knead dough 10-12 times and roll to ½ inch thick.
- Cut into circles and bake 10-12 min.
